Berlin, Summer 2026

Berlin is raw, obviously. However you never know when you can meet some sweet and lost soul, as I’ve met once in Spati, so randomly. We were sitting outside, having a beer in our best rave outfits, I was wearing a silver bikini top, silver skirt, boots and a blue tie. The night was still young. Friday in Berlin is just a warm up before a 3-4 days party marathon. Then a couple struck up a conversation with us. It turned out that the girl was from the same country as me. We had a nice vibe, she was so positive, always smiling, even tho I could see some kind of pain in her eyes. They were in one of those „it’s complicated” relationship. That’s the thing that bothers me about this city. Everyone wants to stay open, detached and cool, but finding something real can feel surprisingly difficult. Rave culture is not exactly the best place to build lasting relationships or find real love. Of course, sometimes people get lucky. Some even find their perfect rave partner but let’s be honest… how often does that really happen?

More often, you meet someone and feel an instant connection. You talk for hours. You dance together. For a moment, it feels like you’ve known each other forever.

Then the weekend ends.

The music stops, reality returns, and so does the distance. You exchange Instagram handles, maybe a few messages, and slowly disappear from each other’s lives without drama, without explanation, just distance. You need to learn how to deal with it or leave it. But I keep wondering, are we so afraid of getting hurt that we stop ourselves from ever really opening up? At the same time we’re hurting ourselves to never open up.

 Few days later we met again, she even invited me to the festival she was organizing. My eyes lit up immediately. Oh God, I’ve dreamed about a festival but all of them are so expensive nowadays, so here we go, get one gl. 

You have to be careful tho, some souls are more sweet, lost in the best possible way curious, open and creative, others tho are more lost, simply drifting so don’t get lost with them doing after till Monday night…
